SUNFLY Raises Funds to Expand Sunflower Seed Milk and Snacks
SUNFLY, a sunflower seed snack company, prepares a crowdfunding campaign to launch plant-based milk and protein bars, showing strong market demand.
Tallinn-based SUNFLY, which produces spreads and snacks made from sunflower seeds, is preparing an equity crowdfunding campaign on Republic Europe to scale its current range and expand into sunflower seed milk, protein bars and new snack formats. The campaign is open for priority registration ahead of its public launch, and the company has not yet disclosed a funding target or valuation. According to figures shared in the campaign materials, SUNFLY’s revenue grew from €116,000 in 2024 to €440,000 in 2025, an increase of around 280%. The company reports €840,000 in revenue so far in 2026 and says more than 30% of its customers return to buy again. SUNFLY states that its products are now sold in more than 1,200 stores across 12 countries, with retail partners including Tesco, Ocado and Carrefour. Its listed markets include Estonia, the UK, Finland, Lithuania, France, Romania, the UAE and Australia. The company also won REWE’s Start-up Lounge in Germany and has collected Great Taste, The Grocer and Free From awards. A facility that handles only sunflower seeds The current range covers sunflower seed butter in jars, on-the-go squeeze pouches in smooth, crunchy and sweet and salty variants, and Medjool dates filled with sunflower seed butter in cocoa, crunchy and original flavours. SUNFLY makes these products in a dedicated facility that processes sunflower seeds exclusively. The company says this lets it sell its range free from the top 14 UK and EU allergens and the top nine US allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, gluten and dairy, without “may contain” warnings on pack. SUNFLY markets the products to schools, offices and lunchboxes, settings where nut and sesame spreads are often restricted. The company describes its model as running from farm to final product and says the planned expansion is backed by its own IP and production platform. SUNFLY says it intends to use the new capital to increase production and launch the additional product lines, with the stated ambition of becoming the leading brand in the sunflower seed category.
